In fact, the most important feature to consider when purchasing a dishwasher is the energy efficiency and quietness of the unit. Other bells and whistles will serve to improve your vanity, but will do little to increase the usability of the machine. For example, purchasing a steel tub in a dishwasher while stylish will likely benefit the scrap yard since the dishwasher will likely fail far before a plastic tub cracks from regular use. The only other feature to consider when selecting a dishwasher is the number of cleaning jets, which can determine how clean your dishes actually get after use. Obviously, the last thing you want to do is have to rewash your dishes after running them through the dishwasher.
